Therapies and Interventions
We give consultation for the children who are being referred by pediatricians, neurologist, orthopedicians and other specialists and admit them for regular therapy according to the need.
Guidance And Counseling
The parent /caretakers will be given psychological counseling and guidance in handling their children.
The importance of caretaking, regular intervention, knowledge about their child’s condition and the expected prognosis will be discussed
The admitted children arel given a schedule for attending their sessions regularly.
We provide care in the following areas.
Regular Evaluation And Modification Of Care
All the children are evaluated at regular intervals [every 3months duration] and their progress will be evaluated by experts in that field and this will be notified to the parent/caretaker. Necessary changes in the future goals will be made and the intervention will be discussed and followed.
Sessions will be scheduled for the children who are admitted.

Skill developmental therapy
B. Special Education
Augmented communication training.
MEDICAL SERVICES AND REFERENCES
The children are referred to specialists for further consultations as neededat MAPIMS hospital, Child Trust hospital, Egmore Children’s hospital, etc. Regular checkups are made by our specialists from MAPIMS hospital andAdhiparasakthi dental college.
ASSISSTIVE DEVICES AND EQUIPMENTS
Needy children are guided to procureNational Identity card, equipment, orthotic devices, bus pass, etc.
COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION
Community based rehabilitation programme is conducted by our center to provide care in rural areas in their community set ups
NEW BORN SCREENING
Every baby born in MAPIMS hospital is screened by our physiotherapy team to rule out high risk babies who may develop disability neurologically, orthopedically or by any other complications.
COMMUNITY SCREENING FOR DISABLED
Weekly camps were conducted in various rural areas to screen out disabled people to provide them needed reference and care.
Free food is provided to all the children attending intervention in our center every morning and afternoon.
Free bus facilities are provided to the disabled children from outskirts through our specially designed buses.
